This volume is an excellent antidote to the Holocaust supremacism that permeates the West’s academia, media, and entertainment industry. Will it change any of this? Fat chance.

Most people know only about the Nazi German genocide of 6 million Jews, commonly called the Holocaust (or Shoah). However, even the informed reader of this book may be surprised how many seldom-publicized democides (genocides and government-sponsored mass murders: p. xv; totaling 100-200 million) have taken place–and that only since the beginning of the 20th Century.

A TASTE OF THE POLOKAUST

Consider the non-Jewish victims of the Nazis. The author estimates that 2.4 million non-Jewish Poles were murdered by Nazi Germany during WWII (p. 114), and that over 10 million Slavs were murdered by the Germans in total. (p. 112, 119). Much larger authoritative numbers could be cited. For instance, 4.4 million Poles were murdered by the Germans, for a total of up to 8 million Polish losses during WWII. JEWISH VICTIMS OF THE NAZIS GET ALL THE PUBLICITY: ALL THE VICTIMS OF THE COMMUNISTS GET VIRTUALLY NONE

The democides caused by the Communists were staggering, and far exceed that of the Nazis. For instance, Rummel (p. 82) estimates a ABSOLUTE MINIMUM of 24 million Soviet citizens killed under the Communist state. His estimates of those killed under Chinese Communists are even greater. Millions were also murdered by the Communists in Cambodia, and other Communist nations. Rarely do we ever hear about them.
