Dealing With Neo-Marxism: A Tongue-In-Cheek Advice to Conservatives, But With Some Depth and Perceptiveness

Although the author’s style is rambling, he does present interesting information. He shows how Hitler was originally on the political left (p. 58) before leftists eventually pinned Hitler on the political Right. He describes the Frankfurt School (pp. 56-57) of neo-Marxists. Their modern counterparts, also known s cultural Marxists, attack not only capitalism and religion, but also virtually every western value and institution.

LEFT WING MIND CONTROL: HOW LEFTISTS CENSOR THE OPPOSITION

Instead of using the Gulags to silence their opponents, neo-Marxists use such things as tolerance and political correctness. These are disguised as quelling “hate speech” and protecting minorities. Actually, they are forms of mind control, a “fascism of the mind” designed to protect liberals from criticism. (p. 112).

To illustrate the subtle power of political correctness in thought control, the reader is asked to think about this headline: “Two Swedes charged in plot to bomb airliner.” (p. 79). The reader instinctively thinks to two blond-eyed whites, because to think to two jihadist Arabs, who just happen to live in Sweden, would be racist.

“YOU’RE ON THE WRONG SIDE OF HISTORY”

Liberals also use slogans such as “Just like the civil rights movement” to ram things through. These include everything from gay marriage, universal health care, cap and trade, illegal immigration, to women in combat, etc. (p. 106). When it comes to African Americans, liberals tend to ignore the likes of Austin Dabney. He bravely fought against the British in the American Revolution. For this, he was granted land and a federal pension at a time when blacks were forbidden to own property. (p. 129). Liberals would have us think that African-Americans had absolutely nothing until 1964.

The never-ending expansion of government services for Americans goes beyond increasing government dependency for the purpose of increasing the number of loyal Democratic voters. The long-term goal of neo-Marxists is the overloading of western governments to the point that they eventually collapse. (p. 72).

CULTURAL MARXISM IN ACTION

The events of Kent State in 1970 taught leftists to back away from frontal assaults. Instead, leftists work stealthily and over a long term. Kahane says that we are not so much in a Culture War as in a Cold Civil War.

The author also believes that leftists have been successful in stealthily imposing their will on society only because conservatives have lacked the will to stop them. (p. xviii). This does not mean that conservatives need to get nasty. Kahane, for example, suggests that conservatives use humor against liberals. (pp. 158-161). For instance, instead of just free universal health care (e. g., Obamacare), why not have EVERYTHING free?
